For almost 30 years, Athens’ small size has not accurately reflected its immense and nationally influential music scene — and the members of Brooklyn indie-rock foursome Boy Genius, who has previously played in Athens at 2008’s PopFest, recognize this fact as much as anybody else. “Athens is my Mecca,” Marisa Cerio, Boy Genius’ lead guitarist, said.
